Rotate Energy Stop
Rotate Energy Stop, have you ever wondered the answer to this question? The Rotate is to energy, the stop is to… well it is a psychological question. It is mostly used by employers and a pre-interview test, maybe you have had this question in an interview before and don’t know the answer?
The first part of the question will answer the second part of the question. So rotate is to energy, this means that the rotation of anything will create energy. An example of this would be the planet, as the planet rotates it creates a massive amount of energy. Now to stop the planet you need to what? a brake of course! an interesting question though, is what would happen if the earth was to stop rotating? (rotate energy stop)
What if the earth stopped spinning?
Well a fun fact to know is the earth rotates at around 1000mph and as you get closer to the poles this decreases slightly, but for argument’s sake, let’s say you were at the equator.
if everything suddenly stopped everything would move at 1000mph, e,g you. (who doesn’t love to go fast?!) you would not fly off the planet, why you ask? well to break the force of the earth’s gravity you would need to travel at 28,000mph so this would mean you would just fly sideways at 1000mph
now let’s say you survived this, well it’s not just you that’s going to travel at 1000mph, its everything that’s not bed bound to the earth. This includes buildings, water, bugs, just about everything. The earth is covered by 70% of water, so the chances of you escaping the water alone are slim to none, there would be 100ft waves ripping across entire countries, devastating everything in its path.
This would virtually kill all life on the planet, so what about the atmosphere? well, the atmosphere would actually carry on spinning, which would mean catastrophic storms and winds.
So to conclude, if the earth did stop spinning, no nuclear bunker would help you survive. Nothing on the planet would survive. (rotate energy stop)
